Huntington by the Sea is a low-density, Gulf-front condominium building off Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach, just east of Destin. The five-story building sits between a natural lagoon and the beach, and a stairway leads from the pool area down to the sand.
Built in 1981, Huntington by the Sea holds 31 condominiums, according to association and county records compiled by Emerald Coast Condo Map. Rentals are mostly two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos that sleep four to eight, each with a wide balcony overlooking the Gulf. Some units have private washers and dryers, and a coin laundry is available for the rest.
Shared amenities include a large pool with a sunny patio perched on the dune, gas grills, elevators and gated entry, along with the stairway to the beach. Rental companies note that the pool is heated for guests of some units.
Silver Sands Premium Outlets, the Village of Baytowne Wharf and Grand Boulevard at Sandestin are a short drive east, and HarborWalk Village in Destin is a short drive west. The beach towns of Scenic 30A are within easy reach, and golfers can play championship courses nearby, including at Seascape.
Huntington by the Sea suits couples and small families who want a quieter, smaller building instead of a high-rise. Its short walk from pool to beach, lagoon setting and Gulf-front balconies make it an easygoing base for a Miramar Beach vacation.
