Red Roof Inn Panama City is a 73-room hotel on North US Highway 231, the main route north out of central Panama City. A Walmart Supercenter is under a mile away, restaurants cluster along the highway, and downtown Panama City and the marina are a short drive south. ZooWorld and the Panama City Beach attractions are about 20 minutes west.
A free continental breakfast and lobby coffee are offered daily. Rooms have flat screen TVs with expanded cable, microwaves and refrigerators. The hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool, a fitness facility and coin laundry, and the front desk is staffed 24 hours.
Parking and Wi-Fi are free. Red Roof’s pet policy is the main draw for many guests: one well-behaved cat or dog stays free, and a second pet up to 80 pounds is allowed for a small nightly charge capped after a week. Pets cannot be left alone in the room. Pets must be declared at check-in, and pet-friendly rooms are limited, so it helps to mention them when booking.
It suits road trippers arriving from Dothan and points north on US 231, travelers with dogs and budget-minded visitors who want an easy highway location with breakfast included. Gulf World Marine Park is about 13 miles away, and Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is roughly 15 miles by road. Chick-fil-A and other quick meals are within walking distance.
