2 Birds Cafe sits at 80 Seascape Drive in Miramar Beach. It opens at 7:30am on weekdays and 8am on weekends, and it closes at 3pm. Note that the cafe closes on Tuesdays. The team bakes every pastry and every loaf from scratch each morning. They also cut their own potato chips and squeeze their own orange juice. Best of all, the plaza offers free unlimited parking, which on this stretch of the Emerald Coast borders on a miracle.

Why 2 Birds Cafe Is Worth the Stop
Most beach-town breakfast spots run on volume. 2 Birds Cafe does not. Instead, the kitchen bakes its own sourdough, fries its own chips, and sources flaky sea salt and Chilton County peaches in season. As a result, a $15 plate here tastes like it cost more. Locals treat the room as a second kitchen table. Visitors tend to come back the next morning.

Likewise, the grilled chicken club runs $17 with bacon, avocado, and cilantro crema on Texas toast. Both the BLT and the veggie sammy cost $15.

Yes, There Is a Bar
2 Birds Cafe will pour you a drink before noon without judgment. Mimosas use the fresh squeezed juice: $9 for orange or grapefruit, and $11 with kombucha. The Bloody Mary uses sake and costs $10. In addition, two Lowdown cocktails go for $9 each, a Blood Orange Mule and a Peach Smash.
Wine by the glass runs $9 to $10. The list covers Belstar Prosecco, Archer Roose sparkling rose and Malbec, and Pacific Standard Chardonnay. If you want a bottle, check the retail wine wall. Both taps pour 3rd Planet beer at $8, either Mullet Lite lager or Dank Side of The Moon IPA.
Who Runs 2 Birds Cafe
Jennifer and Taylor opened the cafe in 2017 as the original two birds. Chef Daniel joined in 2022 after a long local run. Before that, he worked at Pompano Joe’s, spent six years at Bud & Alley’s, and cooked at Rosada Bar & Grill. He still anchors the kitchen today.

Mircea walked in for lunch in 2020. He had already worked at Great Southern Cafe and the Red Bar, so he recognized the quality quickly. He grew up in Romania, where families welcome guests into the home as a matter of course. That service culture felt familiar. In 2026 he and his wife Lana bought the place. Soon after, they brought in their friend Seth, who has cooked at the James Beard House in New York and run the kitchen as Executive Chef at Stinky’s Fish Camp.
Still, the counter crew came first. Becca, Mona, Rickey, and Austin predate all of it. They are a large part of why people keep coming back. You can read the full story on the About page.
Catering
2 Birds Cafe caters boat day lunches, brunches, dinner parties, and beachside weddings. The team builds every menu around the specific event, because they run no preset packages. You can find details in the catering guide.
