Sea Oats Okaloosa Island

Sea Oats is a seven-story condominium building on the Gulf side of Okaloosa Island at 1114 Santa Rosa Boulevard, near the eastern end of the island’s condo row. Built in the early 1980s, it has 80 units, and a beach walkover leads from the pool deck directly to the sand.

Units come in two main layouts: two-bedroom, two-bath condos of about 1,040 square feet and three-bedroom, two-bath condos of about 1,370 square feet, sleeping roughly six to ten guests. Gulf-facing balconies have open views over the water, and some units also look back across the island to Santa Rosa Sound. The beach at Sea Oats is the white sand and clear emerald water of eastern Okaloosa Island. The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier, the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park and the Boardwalk are within walking distance, and neighbors include Summer Place and Azure. Seafood restaurants line the Boardwalk area, and Destin’s harbor, water parks, zipline, parasailing and deep-sea fishing charters are a short drive across the East Pass bridge. Rental listings describe views of both the Gulf and Santa Rosa Sound from some units, and the calm sound side of the island is only a few blocks north for kayaking and paddleboarding.

Sea Oats suits families and groups who want a roomy two-bedroom or three-bedroom condo with tennis and a fitness center, within walking distance of the pier and Boardwalk. It is also a practical base for anglers who plan to spend early mornings on the pier. Because the building dates to the early 1980s, interiors vary from original to fully remodeled, so listing photos and recent guest comments are worth comparing.
