Tru by Hilton Santa Rosa Beach is one of the newer hotels along the US Highway 98 corridor in South Walton, at 6789 US Highway 98 West near the Hewett Road intersection. Guest reviews on booking sites begin in late 2025. The hotel sits a few minutes from the western end of Scenic Highway 30A, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and Dune Allen, with Grand Boulevard, Sandestin and Miramar Beach a short drive west. Destin Fort Walton Beach Airport is about 32 miles away.
Tru is Hilton’s streamlined, design-forward brand, and this property follows the format: a free hot breakfast with the Top It Breakfast Bar, a 24/7 market and coffee center, and a lobby split into a game zone and work alcoves for laptop time. Rooms come with streaming entertainment, and the hotel supports Hilton’s Digital Key and offers connecting rooms. Every room is non-smoking.
There is an outdoor pool for afternoons back from the beach and a fitness center on site. Self parking is free. Pets are allowed, with up to two dogs or cats per room for a one-time fee, so travelers bringing a dog have an option close to the beaches.
The hotel suits budget-minded beach trips, wedding guests who need a room near the 30A venues, and road trippers who want a newer build without resort fees or valet. It is also a practical overflow option when Seaside, Grayton Beach and Rosemary Beach inns are booked, since the drive east along 30A takes you through Dune Allen and Blue Mountain Beach.
