Candlewood Suites Ft Walton Beach – Hurlburt Area is an extended-stay hotel at 407 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, on the western stretch of US-98 as it heads toward Mary Esther and Hurlburt Field. The beach on Okaloosa Island is about three miles away, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport is roughly 11 miles. Five of the suites are accessible.
The three-story property has 80 suites, all non-smoking, in studio and one-bedroom layouts. Every suite has a fully equipped kitchen, and guests can borrow specialty appliances from the front desk. That setup is built for weeks-long assignments, relocations and families who would rather cook than eat out every meal.
On-site amenities include an outdoor pool, a fitness center with cardio machines and free weights, EV chargers and parking. Guest laundry is free around the clock, and a 24-hour market sells groceries and snacks. Housekeeping is weekly, as is typical for the brand. Pets, including emotional support animals, are allowed with a stay fee, a cleaning fee and a deposit.
The hotel is a practical base for personnel and contractors at Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base, as well as for longer beach stays on a budget. The Gulfarium, the Air Force Armament Museum and Santa Rosa Mall are all within a short drive. Check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am, and guests must be 18 or older.
