Legacy

Legacy is a gated, Gulf-front community at 3880 E County Highway 30A in the heart of Seagrove Beach. It combines a four-story condominium building set directly on the sand with a row of six townhomes just behind it, and it was built around 2000. The total of about 22 homes keeps the community quiet and low density.

The beachfront building has just sixteen residences, and they are large. Real estate listings show units of about 2,300 square feet with four bedrooms and three baths, and French doors open from both the primary bedroom and the living room onto balconies facing the Gulf and the sunset. The townhomes behind are three-story homes, typically three bedrooms, with Gulf views from their balconies. Rental listings describe the condos sleeping about ten and the townhomes about eight.

Each building has its own community pool, and both are heated. The condo building has an elevator and direct private beach access, while the townhomes use an adjacent beach access. Other shared features include outdoor showers, barbecue grills, bike storage and parking for one or two vehicles per home. All residences are individually owned and rented through owners and several local rental companies, and one company notes new complimentary beach service for a beachfront unit, which shows how extras differ by unit. Walton County’s Leave Only Footprints rules require beach gear to be carried off the sand each evening, and outdoor lighting is reduced during sea turtle nesting season from May through October.

Legacy is within walking or biking distance of shops and restaurants in Seagrove Beach, and Seaside and WaterColor are a few minutes west along the Timpoochee Trail. A Publix grocery store is nearby for stocking up. To the east, Watersound, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach offer more dining and shopping, and Deer Lake State Park and Grayton Beach State Park provide quieter beaches and dune lake scenery. Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport is roughly forty minutes away by car.

Legacy suits larger families and groups who want four bedrooms directly on the Gulf in a small gated setting, as well as families who prefer a townhome layout with Gulf views. Its low density and private pools make it feel more like a residential enclave than a resort. Guests booking a townhome should expect stairs between floors, while the condo building offers single-level living with elevator access.
