John C. Beasley Park is the main free public beach on Okaloosa Island, run by Okaloosa County. It has easy parking and facilities, which makes it the simplest way to spend a day on the island’s white sand if you aren’t staying on the beach.

- Cost: free entry and parking.
- Rules: dogs aren’t allowed on Okaloosa County beaches. Check the county’s beach rules before you bring coolers or glass.
- Nearby: the Okaloosa Island Pier is just to the west.
